  • Kolm IL-150V3-3

Kolm engines are specially assembled, regarding your requirements. Therefore the delivery time is approx. 30 days after a firm order. Additionally we are now able to offer the Kolm engines with a left hand option, to propel your Tiger Moth or multi engine plane more scale like.

    Kolm IL-150V3-3

Assembled heat-treated steel crankshaft with Tungsten balance weight inserts
Crankshaft supported by five ball bearings
Conrods are CNC milled from high strength steel, and have a spindled bore surface for the big end needle roller bearings
    Plain bronze small end bearings
A bottom-mounted camshaft is acting on overhead valves by pushrods
A light weight, low inertia valve train allows relatively high RPM
Crankcase CNC milled from high-strength aerospace alloy
Excellent Müller-Microprocessor-Ignition developed by Günter Müller in Germany, now made in Austria by Kolm Engines
Valves and pistons are manufactured at Kolm Engines in Austria on modern CNC machines
Three Walbro carburetors WT-225 with in sync linkage for throttle and choke
Engine length further adjustable by longer and shorter optional prop hubs

This Kolm IL-150V3-3 is our smallest 3-cylinder Inline engine, perfect for warbirds and racing aircraft weighing up to 22 kg (48.5 lbs). The IL-150V3-3 has already been fitted to many models around the world, and has proved to be a robust and very reliable engine.

The IL-150V3-3is optionally available with a brushless electric starter motor, leaving nothing more to be desired. You will find that starting is so realistic, just like on full-size Warbirds, there is first a very slow, slightly stuttering turning of the prop, then gaining speed slowly, and suddenly she fires.

For ease of mounting in various models, besides the standard version, there is one that has a lengthened front crankshaft/crankcase, the so called "Long Edition".

For some of the most frequently encountered Warbirds we supply installation kits with a 3D printed cooling duct. A detailed set of instructions about fitting and cooling the Inline engine will assist you in achieving a perfect installation.

  • Kolm IL-100V3-2 Long Edition 270 degree crankangle with starter

Kolm engines are specially assembled, regarding your requirements. Therefore the delivery time is approx. 30 days after a firm order. Additionally we are now able to offer the Kolm engines with a left hand option, to propel your Tiger Moth or multi engine plane more scale like.

    Kolm IL-100V3-2

Assembled heat-treated steel crankshaft with Tungsten balance weight inserts
Conrods are CNC milled from high strength steel, and have a spindled bore surface for the big end needle roller bearings
    Plain bronze small end bearings
A bottom-mounted camshaft is acting on overhead valves by pushrods

Two Walbro carburetors WT-225 with in sync linkage for throttle and choke
Engine length further adjustable by longer and shorter optional prop hubs

This IL-100V3-2 is our smallest Inline engine, ideal for warbirds and other scale types weighing up to 20 kg (44 lbs). Extensive testing in many different models has made this engine extremely reliable. The IL-100V3-2 is optionally available with a brushless electric starter motor. This starter has an realistic sound when starting. Just as with the full-size Warbirds, the stuttering start with slowly increasing speed and suddenly she fires.

The IL-100V3-2 comes with the crankshaft in a 270 degree setup. The firing order with the 270 degree setup is like on a V-engine, while the mass balancing is rather not as good as with a 180 degree crankshaft, the well balanced firing order gives a more rounded out exhaust tone on the Kolm IL-100V3-2. Therefore we decided to discard the 180 degree variant from our program.

For ease of mounting in various models, besides the standard version, there is one that has a lengthened front crankshaft/crankcase, the so called "Long Edition".

  • Kolm EZ-77V3 ohne Starter

Kolm engines are specially assembled, regarding your requirements. Therefore the delivery time is approx. 30 days after a firm order. Additionally we are now able to offer the Kolm engines with a left hand option, to propel your Tiger Moth or multi engine plane more scale like.

    Kolm EZ-77V3

Nickel-Silicon plated cylinder surfaces, far lighter than steel cylinder liners guarantee high wear resistance
Assembled heat-treated steel crankshaft with Tungsten balance weight inserts
Conrod CNC milled from high strength steel having a spindled bore surface for the big end needle roller bearing
    Plain bronze small end bearing
Double camshaft acting on overhead valves by pushrods
A light weight, low inertia valve train allows relatively high RPM
Crankcase CNC milled from high-strength aerospace alloy
Excellent Müller-Microprocessor-Ignition developed by Günter Müller in Germany, now made in Austria by Kolm Engines
Valves and pistons are manufactured at Kolm Engines in Austria on modern CNC machines
    Walbro carburetor WT-225
Engine length adjustable by longer and shorter optional prop hubs

The Kolm EZ-77V3 is the logical development of the EZ-65. The steel sleeve has been taken out, Nickel-Silicon plating on the original aluminum cylinders enlarged the bore and has resulted in an increased capacity and, of course, more power with less weight.

It is very suitable for Warbirds as well as other Scale and aerobatic models with an all up weight of up to 11 kg. The Kolm EZ-77V3 is available with a brushless electric starter, making it very suitable for big powered gliders.

The brushless engine starter is so realistic, with a very slow turning speed, slowly accelerating, and then firing, just like the full-size Warbirds do it.

The EZ-77V3 can be supplied as turning clockwise or anti-clockwise.

Each and every Kolm engine is tested in the factory and run for thirty minutes. Of this test a detailed proof certificate is supplied.
